Gifts to IndiaSend gifts to India from Australia
A birthday, an anniversary or a festival you cannot be home for. Tell Alina on WhatsApp what you would like to send, and a local vendor in Mumbai or Delhi delivers it.
How it works
- Message Alina on WhatsApp. Say what you would like to send, who it is for, the delivery address and the date.
- She finds a local vendor. Alina contacts independent bakers and florists near the address, confirms the price and availability, and shows you the total before you pay.
- You pay through a secure link in the chat. No new app and no account to set up.
- The vendor delivers and sends a photo. For deliveries, your payment is held until the vendor confirms with that photo.
What you can send
Cakes, flowers and gifts, delivered by a vendor in the same city as the person receiving them. If you have something specific in mind, such as a particular kind of cake or a small hamper, say so in your first message. Alina will tell you what a local vendor can do.
Occasions people ask for
- Birthdays and milestone birthdays for parents and grandparents
- Wedding anniversaries
- Raksha Bandhan and Diwali, when you want a gesture to arrive even though you are far away
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
- A thank-you or a get-well gift for someone looking after your family
For festivals, message a few days ahead so a vendor can confirm availability.
Why a local vendor beats posting a parcel from Australia
Nothing crosses a border, so there is no international postage and no customs queue. A cake is made in the recipient’s own city, close to where it is eaten. You can also ask for a vendor in a specific neighbourhood, which matters in a city as large as Mumbai or Delhi.
What it costs
Your first request is on us. After that, a membership is a single payment: A$10 for six months or A$15 for twelve, with no recurring charge. The cake, flowers or gift and its delivery are paid for separately, at the price the vendor quotes. Alina shows you the full amount before you pay.
Common questions
Can I send a cake to India from Australia?
Yes. Message Alina on WhatsApp with the address and date. A local vendor in the recipient’s city makes and delivers it, so nothing has to be shipped from Australia.
Which cities in India can I send to?
Mumbai and Delhi today. If your family lives somewhere else, ask Alina. She will tell you whether she can arrange it.
How do I pay?
By card, through a secure payment link in the WhatsApp chat. You see the total before you pay.
How will I know it arrived?
The vendor sends a photo on delivery, and Alina passes it to you in the same conversation.
What if something is wrong?
Tell Alina in the same chat. A problem is logged as a support request and reviewed by the Considy team, and any rating under five stars is reviewed too.
