Gifts to India from CanadaSend a cake to India from Canada
You are in Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary. Your family is in Mumbai or Delhi. Message Alina on WhatsApp and a local vendor delivers something thoughtful on the day.
For families across Canada and India
About 2.9 million people of Indian origin live in Canada, including more than a million Indian passport holders. Parents and grandparents are often a long way off, and the time difference makes a casual phone call hard. A small gift at the door helps close the gap.
How it works from Canada
- Message Alina on WhatsApp with what you want to send, the full address with area and pin code, and the date.
- She confirms with a local vendor in Mumbai or Delhi and shows you the total in Canadian dollars.
- You pay through a secure link in the same chat. No new app, no account to set up.
- The vendor delivers and sends a photo. For deliveries, your payment is held until that photo is confirmed.
What is different about sending from Canada
- Time difference. Canada’s time zones run from about 8 to 13.5 hours behind India, depending on the province and the time of year. An afternoon in Toronto is already late evening in Mumbai, so send your request a day or two early.
- Currency. You see and pay the total in Canadian dollars.
- Winter and festivals. Diwali often falls in early winter, when people are busiest and delivery vendors in India are too. Message at least a week ahead.
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Both are on the same weekends in Canada and India (second Sunday of May, third Sunday of June), so you can plan one message for both.
Cakes, flowers and gifts for every occasion
Birthdays, anniversaries, a parent’s retirement, a new baby in the family, or a thank-you to the relative who looks after your parents. Tell Alina what it is, who it is for and your budget.
What it costs
Your first request is on us. After that, a membership is a single payment of A$10 for six months or A$15 for twelve, with no recurring charge, shown in Canadian dollars at checkout. The gift and delivery are paid for separately, at the vendor’s price.
Common questions
Can I send a cake to India from Canada?
Yes. Message Alina on WhatsApp from your Canadian number. A baker in Mumbai or Delhi makes and delivers the cake, so nothing is shipped from Canada.
Do I pay in Canadian dollars?
Yes. Alina shows you the total in Canadian dollars before you pay.
What about the time difference?
India is between 8 and 13.5 hours ahead of Canada. Send your request a day or two early so the vendor can confirm during their working hours.
Can I send flowers instead of a cake?
Yes. Flowers, cakes and gifts all work the same way: you ask, a local vendor confirms the price, you pay, and you receive a photo on delivery.
Which cities in India do you deliver to?
Mumbai and Delhi today. For anywhere else, ask Alina and she will tell you honestly whether she can arrange it.
